The first sign of spring and right away a part of me wants to rush off to Otto’s Shrunken Head for some overly sweet, Vitamin C infused drinks. Our goal here is to get away from the ‘classics’ such as Mai Tai’s and Zombies and make a few of the lesser known Tiki Cocktails.
Perhaps we’ll try some Jungle Birds?
If you’ve got a recommendation for some long forgotten Tiki drinks, let us know and we’ll see what we can do about mixing a few up from the grave.
The Jungle Bird Recipe
.5 oz lime
.5 oz sugar
.75 oz Campari
1.5 oz pineapple
1.5 oz Black Strap rum
Shake and strain into an old-fashioned glass over a chunk of ice. Thanks to Details Magazine for the recipe.
